What this feature does
A single top-down image can hide layers, side dishes, cup depth, and food behind other food. Feast lets a meal include as many as five photos so the analysis can use complementary views.
Why it can be useful
Additional views provide more visual context; they do not turn an estimate into an exact measurement. The best angle is the one that resolves a real ambiguity.
A careful workflow
Use the feature as a reviewable part of your record.
- Begin with one image that shows the entire plate.
- Add a side angle for bowls, sandwiches, layered dishes, or tall portions.
- Use close views only when they reveal an ingredient or preparation detail the overview misses.
Limits to keep visible
Convenience and analytical detail do not remove uncertainty.
- More photos are not automatically better when they repeat the same view.
- No number of angles reveals an unknown recipe or the exact amount of absorbed cooking fat.
